I know I haven’t posted in about a month. That is because it has been a non-stop-attention-grabbing-heat-infusing-travel-time. And now I am in Toronto, Canada. I must say autumn brings out the romantic in me. It is my favorite time of the year because of its fading colorful beauty of changing colors, warm sun, and zero humidity in the air.

It is also this time of the year when Pinterest starts showcasing cute outfits for fall and the back to school commercials can’t get out of your head no matter what you do. Yeah, it is time for fall, the beautiful, the magnificent, the one of a kind celebration of natural beauty, color, and seasonal fruits and veggies. If you are looking for a place that has beautiful views, crisp air, good weather, nice people, and affordable prices with European comforts, look no further because Kazakhstan is a the best kept secret for a fall destination. And why wouldn’t it be? Safety you said? Or may be the mystical nature of the Central East? Pack your bags and let’s go discover Kazakhstan!

I remember like it was yesterday. Mr K and I were invited by his relatives to come and stay with them. After all it has been a while since his last visit and I wanted to see the city and country where he came from. So in September last year we filed all the papers, got him a visa, and jetted off into a sunset to see the mysterious Kazakhstan.

To my surprise, it exceeded all prejudices expectations that I had before coming. Turns out Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, is a very European city that is both affordable and very well planned. It is safe, exceptionally beautiful, and has a ton of things to do, most of which are free or almost free. Can’t beat that!

In the next post I am going to share the absolutely awesome activities and tips to do while there. In the mean time here is the site that showcases Kazakhstan and its beauty.
